Come Sail With Us! presents the three-master Morgana as the successor to the Storebaelt

Harlingen, October 28, 2025 – Harlingen-based sailing company Come Sail With Us! proudly presents its new ship: the three-master Morgana, which will soon be officially added to the fleet. The ship accommodates thirty guests and replaces the Storebaelt, which was decommissioned in September following a collision.

With the arrival of the Morgana, Come Sail With Us! continues its course: multi-day sailing trips and sailing voyages across the Wadden Sea and IJsselmeer, focused on experience, nature, and togetherness. The Morgana combines the charm of a traditional sailing ship with contemporary comfort and modern safety standards.

A new chapter after an eventful season

In September 2025, the Storebaelt was involved in a collision. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and thanks to the rapid response of the KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution), the crew were well cared for. However, the damage to the ship was so extensive that repair proved impossible, and the Storebaelt was declared a total loss. While the investigation into the cause of the collision by the relevant authorities is ongoing, Come Sail With Us! will not make any claims regarding blame or liability and fully respects the investigation.

Owner Aart Puper: "We are saddened by the loss of the Storebaelt, but above all grateful that all those on board escaped without serious injury. The vessel has since been sold to a party that intends to renovate it for non-commercial purposes. We are focusing on the future – with confidence, craftsmanship, and a passion for sailing."

The Morgana: an atmospheric and characteristic three-master

The three-master Morgana is a characterful three-master with a charming interior, designed for comfortable multi-day sailing trips with groups of up to thirty people. On deck, there's ample space for actively participating in sailing or simply enjoying the views while cruising across the Wadden Sea. Inside, the Morgana offers a spacious saloon with cozy seating and a classic English feel, a spacious, well-equipped galley, and comfortable guest cabins. The Morgana's first voyages are scheduled for spring 2026.

Come Sail With Us! sails from Harlingen with two traditional sailing ships, the Morgana and the Lauwerszee. The company remains true to its small-scale, personal approach, where hospitality and safety are paramount.

Come Sail With Us! organizes multi-day sailing trips and sailing-along trips from Harlingen for groups, schools, companies, and solo travelers. The trips focus on sailing together, experiencing nature, and exploring the Wadden Sea and IJsselmeer. The company is a member of the Holland Sail cooperative.
