The Morgana, an impressive three-master built in 1924, is a former cargo ship offering plenty of comfort. The ship features a spacious saloon with cozy seating areas. Sailing the Morgana requires a lot of effort. Hoisting and operating 435 m² of sail requires a lot of hands. So you can actively participate in the sailing. If you prefer to take it easy, that's also possible.

On deck
The Morgana boasts ample deck space and comfortable seating. From the seating area in front of the wheelhouse, you'll always have a panoramic view. You're also welcome to join the skipper in the wheelhouse. The Morgana is a wide ship. Its width provides not only ample space but also excellent stability, so you don't have to worry about seasickness. The high bulwark (closed railing) makes the ship safe for small children.

Interior

In the center of the ship is the large saloon with cozy seating areas. The saloon is high and has an English feel. A cozy bar is located in one corner. The saloon adjoins the well-equipped galley. On deck is the wheelhouse. Outside of sailing, the wheelhouse is the skipper's private area. But during the voyage, you can relax here—sheltered from the wind—and experience the sailing.

Cabins

The cabins are located at the front and back of the ship. All cabins have central heating and running water. The beds are fully made, including duvets, so you don't need to bring a sleeping bag. The ship has eleven cabins in total: seven double cabins and four quadruple cabins.

Sanitary

The sanitary facilities are also located below deck. The Morgana has three showers and three toilets.

The Hope

The Morgana was launched in 1924 as "De Hoop." The ship sailed freight until 1991, after which it was used as a floating canteen by a water sports club in Wemeldinge. After a brief stint, the ship came into the possession of Lex Tichelaar of Scheepsreparatie Friesland in the late 1990s, who, commissioned by Jappie Strikwerda, converted it into the three-masted schooner Morgana.
