Luck on 1: Now and Tomorrow
Schools that book their work week or an educational day trip at a Frisian group accommodation can apply for a subsidy for this. This is part of the second Recovery Package 'Lok op 1: No en Moarn' of the province. Schools can submit a subsidy application from 15 June. A total of half a million euros is available. The school voucher is aimed at all schools of secondary education, MBO and HBO in Fryslân.
Now that corona measures are being relaxed more and more, more and more group activities are possible. For example, schools can think about organizing work weeks and day trips again. In order to support Frisian entrepreneurs with group accommodations, schools that book their work weeks at a Frisian group accommodation can qualify for financial support. A sailing ship from the brown fleet is also considered a group accommodation. Furthermore, group excursions can qualify if they have an educational character, take place in Friesland and are organized by a Frisian company. The subsidy is included in the 'Subsidy scheme for accommodation and group excursion 2021'.
Provincial Executive Avine Fokkens-Kelder: “We want to encourage schools in Friesland to book group accommodations and the brown fleet for work weeks. This will provide additional income for these companies that have been hit hard by corona. And for young people, work weeks and group excursions are social and educational activities.”
(TCF) ensures that interested schools and entrepreneurs come into contact with each other. First come, first served. The subsidy can be applied for until November 1, 2021. The activity to be subsidized must take place in the period from June 1, 2021 to June 1, 2022.
